I'm not a frequent visitor here. I don't post flashes and all that. I can't afford computer stuff and my computer's broken right now. Stupid blue screen of death! Anyway, I might post in Spanish. After all, I AM a Mexican-American.

Update on What Happened

2011-01-08 22:12:33 by Mexicrap

So here's the scoop:
I know I haven't updated in a while, and you're all wondering: "Why is this boy updating his page about his life? This isn't Twitter." Yeah, the reason for that is: as of now I don't have a Twitter account nor do I have a Facebook account, but I am planning to make them when everything's settled. Anyway, it's time I get to telling you guys what happened since the fire.

JULY: After 6 days, we moved back in for until the end of the month. Our house was at least livable. Then we started putting things in boxes and into storage. Then we moved out as they were going to take down the walls and check for asbestos in the house because they said they found it in there as part of the restoration. For the weekend, we went to Las Vegas. (I got Pokemon Soulsilver a few days before)

AUGUST: When we were coming back from Vegas, we were informed that the restoration had been brought to a halt because of some estimate problem with the Home Insurance. We then moved into my uncle Omar's house for a few days. Then we moved back into our home again, but the walls upstairs were removed, so we couldn't live in the whole house. At least the downstairs area was livable. We still had some fun with the rest of the vacation before school started.

SEPTEMBER: So school started, and we were still living in our home. Yes, we were getting some visits from people who wanted to inspect the house for estimates and people who wanted to just see how we were doing. We have been since August and that answers the question "What about the Estimates?"

OCTOBER: The restoration was finally going to resume, and we had to move out. We did, and we moved into a hotel not far from where I live. (actually, pretty close) It's called Budget Inn. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think everyone living in the Los Angeles County should be familiar with that name. I bet you're all thinking "Woah. Having to live in a hotel room for so long must be hard." It was, but me and my family learned to cope with it. This is when I started working on my 2010 Halloween costume: Godot from the Ace Attorney series. It was hard work for getting everything necessary; especially because it was so close to Halloween. I'll upload photos whenever I can.

NOVEMBER: This is a month of a certain event that occurred. During Veteran's Day weekend, I went to Palm Springs. But on Saturday, I lost my pokewalker. But something even worse happened the next day: I lost my black Nintendo DSi along with my Pokemon Soulsilver. Let's not get into that matter. I spent Thanksgiving at Pala. That's a hotel and casino down in North San Diego County.

DECEMBER: I participated in my school's talent show called Caroling in The Quad which occurred on the 16th and I sang Jingle Bell Rock by Hall & Oates. No, it's not the one that you hear on the radio. It's the one from their latest Christmas CD. I was a really good singer, according to the crowd's reactions. I spent Christmas in the hotel and I got a Midnight Blue Nintendo DSi XL in replacement for my lost Nintendo DSi. We moved back home two days after. Our entire home, yes, I said ENTIRE home, was livable again. That's when we started taking things out of storage.

It's now January and I made these 3 resolutions for the new year:
1. Save enough money to get into Anime Expo,
2. Lose the damn weight,
and 3. RESTORE THE HOUSE!!!
I've already started saving money for Anime Expo. I'm exercising more and trying to eat healthier. I'm having the house painted sometime next week. After that, we'll be installing new windows. Then we'll get new flooring and carpeting. Then we'll give/throw away some old things we don't need anymore. And, finally, we'll start replacing the furniture. After that, our lives should return to normal.

That's basically it. Now you know what's been going on with me. I hope you guys get a better understanding. If you have any questions regarding any of the events mentioned, depending on how personal it is, feel free to ask me via either comments or PM.
